You play as The Princet of the kingdom, aiming to woo the local dragon who's being bullied by the townspeople.
Not only have the townspeople been harassing the dragon, but they trashed their cave?
That just won't do for the crush of the heir to the throne! Your goal is to build a castle to fit the scale (and scales ;3) of your hopeful (and sceptical) beloved.
The better your encounters with the dragon, the better and bigger pieces of the castle you'll accumulate, but if you can't romance your reptile before the end of the moon cycle, you may meet a very different fate...

You are building a castle to fit the scale of the dragon. As well as you’re building on the relationship you have with the dragon, a creature which has scales ;)
